3 tips to get a better photo of your horse

Tip # 1

Clean your horse! I love the natural look of horses but sometimes they can be a bit messy. When you head out to the pasture, grab a curry comb and brush for a quick groom.

Tip # 2

Attention to detail - Before you start snapping away, watch your horse. Are they bending every few seconds to get that pesky fly or are they so relaxed that they might just lay down for a nap? With a few minutes of observation, you'll notice patterns and know when to push that shutter button.

Tip # 3

Get those ears forward! Every horse responds differently, so you may need to think outside the box on this one. One of my go-to methods is to have a friend do jumping jacks behind me. You can also find lots of apps that play horse sounds on your phone.
